Golden Retrievers

I know them to be the most affectionate, amazing companions of all the dog breeds I've had the privilege to get to know. The American Kennel Club describes them as "among America’s most popular dog breeds. They are serious workers at hunting and field work, as guides for the blind, and in search-and-rescue, enjoy obedience and other competitive events, and have an endearing love of life when not at work."   I welcomed my first Golden into my life over 18 years ago.  His name was Cooper and he immediately became my heart dog.  Now our girls Gabby, Misty and Bonnie have stolen my heart just as well.
We are pleased to announce:
To offer families the chance to experience all the joys of having a loving, well adjusted, healthy Golden Retriever in their life too.  To accomplish that we only offer puppies that come from parents that have certifications done for at least hips, elbows, eyes and heart, and we have researched their parents bloodlines to confirm they come from lines that lived healthy lives well past 10 years.   We raise the pups in our home, so you are taking home a puppy already acclimated to being in a home, with all it's normal noises and activity.  Having them in our home also means we can play with, love /spoil and socialize the pups multiple times every day.

Why a Golden Retriever?:
Word of caution:
I wish I didn't need to include this section but feel I must.  PLEASE research the breeder, their dogs and visit as many as you can BEFORE committing to a puppy. Always request to see the health certifications on the parents.  A lower price is often an indication the puppy is coming from a litter that the parents bloodlines have not been researched to avoid health issues and they did not pass or even have health certifications done to confirm they are good breeding candidates.
Sadly, I speak from experience! Even though I have been breeding dogs for over 30 years, and know better, I let my emotions cloud my judgement a couple of years ago when looking for a second Golden Retriever.  After losing my beloved Cooper, I contacted the breeder of his sire.  I let her know I was looking for a full registration female with the intention of breeding her.  Even though she cancelled multiple appointments for me to visit her kennel and see the parents and never produced the promised health certificates, I still took the puppy.  Now, after spending 2k for full registration papers and almost 1k for her health certification tests, I have a Golden that I would never breed. At less than 3 years old, she has developed multiple allergies and her hips and elbows are already showing signs of problems.  We love her to pieces and she has a forever home with us but I'm heartbroken for what the future holds for her.
